Moreover, these feline territories intersect with three-quarters of the world’s Key Biodiversity Areas (KBAs). KBAs are essential refuges that sustain critical populations of the planet’s endangered species. This significant overlap underscores the vital role wild felines play in global biodiversity stewardship, acting as guardians of some of the most crucial ecosystems on our planet.

The Feline Conservation Foundation is a national 501(c)3 non-profit organization with a mission to advance wild feline conservation through strategic partnerships fostering collaboration and innovation. We envision a world where wild feline conservation projects are robustly supported and funded by communities and key stakeholders, leading to thriving populations and preserved natural habitats. Our purpose is to empower licensed facilities by advocating on their behalf and supplying them with comprehensive educational resources that enhance both animal welfare and our conservation initiatives.
